WARPED REVIEWED

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Warped bursting with confidence and enthusiasm as ever release a neat demo CD with a dead good-looking band photo on the front.  Looking at the photo you expect pleasant, melodic, rock-pop- but you don't get that, they throw something great and original at you.

On the first track, ‘Canadia’, the band are foaming at the mouth with a three-minute, hate injected opus about coming to terms with having nothing and wanting to be heard. It has a driving backbone with a great guitar part and the keyboards filling out the sound nicely. The Second track ‘Rebound’ is slower, and the piano is more to the fore than the guitars. It contains a really great chorus, quite up-lifting in places and the song shows another dimension to the group and to Lee's songwriting.   Track 3 is a live rendition of one of the fans favorite, ‘She Blows Me Wide Open’.  A good version,  but to be honest I would record a studio version if it were to be used as an album track.

Lee’s vocals are always melodic and the band’s sound has matured since their last demo, which I remember being more guitar-pop than this.
